The current cost to operate the food bank five days a week, excluding donated food, is approximately $400,000 annually. Since the food bank does not charge its clients in any way, all of these funds must be donated to the food bank each year.

Employer Matching Gifts

Matching Gifts can be a great way to double or even triple your donation while making a significant impact to the food bank. Many employers offer matching gift programs to match your charitable contributions and your co-workers if they also apply for matching gifts. Some companies even match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.

Give Gift Cards

The Allentown Food Bank also accepts gift cards that can be used for the purchase of food. Some grocers conduct drives in which financial donations are collected and provided to the Food Bank in the form of gift cards that can be used in their store to purchase food. Please call the food bank during business hours to arrange a donation.
