Be a Volunteer
Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank offers a variety of opportunities to become involved in supporting the fight against hunger. Participation in the work of the Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank is not restricted. Any individual, congregation, organization or business may participate by donating time and/or service.
The Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank feeds families through the invaluable efforts of approximately 200 volunteers. While a majority of the food bank’s volunteers are members of its partner churches, any person ages 13 and up may volunteers. Volunteers ages 13-17 must be accompanied by an adult family member.
Volunteers help our clients shop or assist them with bringing their groceries to their cars. Volunteers work from 8:45am to 12 noon on weekdays. Most volunteers work 1-2 mornings per month.
Individuals interested in volunteering are asked to call Amy Hitch, our Volunteer Coordinator, during business hours at 610.821.1332 for additional information.
